Frequently asked questions

Product and protection

No. PPF is an additional, nearly invisible protective layer applied over the original paint. When correctly installed and removed by a certified installer, it does not damage the paint — it protects it from scratches, chips and UV radiation.

This is a property of the Top Coat layer, thanks to which fine scratches and swirl marks disappear under heat (e.g. sunlight or warm water) — the film "smooths itself out" on its own, without polishing.

Depending on the variant: up to 10 years (e.g. Clear PPF, Black Gloss, Black Matte, Carbon), 7 years (ComFlex line), 5 years (Colour PPF, Headlight, SunRoof) or 1 year (Windshield — front windscreen).

Cost and installation

The price depends on the film variant, scope of work (single panels vs. full body) and the car model. A certified Bright installer prepares an individual quote after inspecting the vehicle.

Installation time depends on the scope of work and is agreed individually with a certified installer — from single panels to a full body wrap.

Bright product technical sheets contain detailed application instructions, but due to the precision required for cutting and squeegeeing we recommend installation by a certified installer — application errors can affect the durability and look of the film.

Care

The recommended time varies depending on the manufacturer's documentation — from 72 hours up to a few days in lower temperatures. Confirm the exact time with your installer when collecting the vehicle.

Wash by hand with a mild detergent, avoid pointing a strong water stream directly at the film edges, remove dirt and insects quickly, and limit polishing to once every two years (it wears down the protective top coat layer).
